Extra-ordinary session of the Chamber of Deputies

The Chamber of Deputies has been convened for an extra-ordinary session on Monday to pass legislation aimed at preventing and combating bear attacks on the population and its property.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister emphasized that new measures must be adopted to manage the bear population.

On the legislative circuit, with positive reports from specialized committees, are several legislative initiatives proposing regulations in this area.

Among them, a bill signed by more than 100 MPs, which allows the hunting of 426 brown bears until the end of this year, for the prevention level, and 55 more for a so-called "intervention level" at national level.
