Education Minister Daniel David has submitted his resignation and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has approved his request. In a message published on Monday evening on his personal blog, Daniel David writes that the motivation for his resignation is simple and that hidden scenarios should not be built around it.
"I never aimed for a political career, but I temporarily accepted the public dignity of minister, to help the country and our education-research system in the crisis situations they have gone through. Now, the major reforms in education are being implemented and there are no longer any risks related to salaries and scholarships."
Daniel David emphasizes in the continuation of the message that it is fair for the 2026 budget to be made by the minister who will administer it.
