Director of Romanian Water Company resigns

The interim general director of Romanian Water Company, Florin Ghita, has resigned, in the context of the water crisis in Prahova and Dambovita counties.
The Minister of Environment announced on Wednesday evening that the managements of the Buzau-Ialomita Water Basin Administration and the Prahova Zonal System Exploitation Company will also be dismissed.
Diana Buzoianu specified that these institutions did not inform the Ministry of Environment about the problems at the Paltinu reservoir even when the crisis broke out.
The conclusions of the Control Body regarding the situation that affected about 100.000 people will be sent to the Prosecutor's Office, the Minister of Environment also said.
