Chiselita: Energy market liberalization is the only option for Romania

In Dumitru Chiselita's opinion, the biggest challenge of the year is related to the fact that on March 31 the current price cap and compensation scheme for natural gas and electricity will expire.
Dumitru Chiselita believes that a prolongation of this measure will entail large expenses from the state budget to pay compensation to suppliers.
In addition, he also recalls Romania's commitments to the European Union to liberalize the market, and believes that a possible continuation of the capping will lead to a decrease in EU funds, which Romania cannot afford.
