Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja said today that there are no problems in the national energy system and no malfunctions are anticipated in the coming days, least of all on the day of the presidential elections.
He repeated that there is no risk of a widespread blackout in Romania, in response to some messages spread on social media.
Sebastian Burduja said that energy consumption this morning was nearly 5.0002 megawatts, with a production of 5.350 megawatts, and exports of about 400 megawatts.
According to the minister, the generation mix is balanced, with a significant hydro, nuclear and wind component.
At the same time, grid maintenance and upgrade works are punctual, scheduled and routine, Sebastian Burduja added.
