Bogdan Ivan: Romania has natural gas storage facilities ready for winter

Romania currently has natural gas storage facilities ready for winter, with a filling rate of approximately 80% compared to a European average of 65%.
Purchases have been made since the summer at competitive prices, so that we do not have tariff increases now - declared the Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, during "Morning Call" on Radio Romania News.
He recalled that the gas price is capped until March 31 next year and announced that the authorities are working on a mechanism through which, starting from April, bills will not increase abruptly.
The Minister of Energy once again recommended to the population to analyze the price offers in the market and opt for the best one.
Bogdan Ivan: There are operators who make offers below today's price starting from April next year and there are operators who make offers at the same price. At the same time, there are also operators who have increases ranging between 6 and 35% compared to the current offer. What I really ask people is to look at the offers on the market, both in the case of offers for natural gas and electricity, to choose an offer that is better than the one that is currently available with a certain operator. We already have an offer for electricity under 1 leu, we have offers for 1 leu and 5 bani, 1 leu and 7 bani, 1 leu and 10 bani and moving from one supplier to another is absolutely free, it is done between 24 hours and 20 days. It can be done anytime online and physically at the counters of the company to which they want to move, and this has been done so far by over 800.000 Romanians this year alone.
