AUR calls for parliamentary commission to investigate possible electoral fraud

The Alliance for the Unity of Romanians calls for the establishment of a parliamentary commission of inquiry to look into possible electoral fraud during the recent presidential elections.

AUR Senator Stefan Geamanu argues that the election results were flawed, with the involvement of the authorities, and that is why such a commission of inquiry is needed.

Stefan Geamanu: I formally call for the establishment of a parliamentary commission of inquiry with extended powers of control over all institutions involved in the elections. I publicly ask the General Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Directorate to investigate treason, abuse of office, forgery, corruption of the electoral process. If there are still honest judges, prosecutors and civil servants, they must come out of their silence.
