"Accelerated intervention" in Bicaz

Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu has asked Hidroelectrica and Romanian Waters to provide a schedule and a deadline for intervention in Bicaz, where cleaning of the water surface from all waste carried by recent floods began on Sunday.
In an online post, Diana Buzoianu announced that she and Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan had also requested a daily progress report.
Investment Minister Dragos Pislaru announced that he would activate the European Union's Natural Disaster Mechanism.
Yesterday alone, over 50 tons of wood waste were collected from the Izvorul Muntelui reservoir in Bicaz, and the intervention will be accelerated starting Monday.
