25 years of Strategic Partnership between Romania and the USA

President Klaus Iohannis welcomed the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the United States and said that the document will continue to remain one of the foundations of Romania's foreign and security policy, according to a statement from the Presidential Administration.
According to the head of state, a common goal assumed by the two countries is the inclusion of Romania in the Visa Waiver Program, and both parties are working to achieve it.
In his turn, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca specified that the Strategic Partnership with the USA, on all its dimensions of cooperation, has become a priority for Romania.
At the same time, the chief executive points out that this agreement has been and is an effective tool for strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as transatlantic values, defense, security and energy.
