16 tons of pyrotechnic materials confiscated in Bucharest and two nearby counties

On Monday, December 29, police confiscated over 16 tons of pyrotechnic materials that were banned from sale. The seizure was made following searches carried out in Bucharest and the counties of Arges and Dambovita, where a company had stored the goods for illegal sale.
The company's administrator, a 52-year-old man, was detained for 24 hours and will be presented to the prosecutor's office with a proposal for preventive arrest.
The Arges County Police Department states that 10 people between the ages of 18 and 67 are being investigated in the case.
In Alba County, law enforcement officers also confiscated approximately 250 kg of pyrotechnic articles following house searches.
