Road traffic on Transfăgărășan now open
Drivers are advised, though, to be cautious.

Traffic on Transfăgărășan High Altitude Road is now open for all categories of vehicles.
Romanian National Company of Administration of Road Infrastructure (CNAIR) calls on drivers to circulate cautiously, especially as atmospheric instability may lead to occurrence of spontaneous meteorological phenomena that affect visibility.
Also, because of the presence of bears near the roadside lately, tourists are advised not to approach the animals, not to feed them and to immediately inform authorities of their presence.
Piscu Negru - Bâlea Lake - Bâlea Cascadă segment is open only four months a year.
