Co-President of the Romanian USR-Plus Alliance, Dacian Cioloş, has been elected, on Wednesday, leader of the Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament.
Cioloş's counter-candidates were Sophie in 't Veld, Dutch MEP, and Swedish MEP Fredrick Federley.
Dacian Cioloş became the favorite for this position after Nathalie Loiseau, representative of La Republique En Marche party of French President Emmanuel Macron, withdrew from the competition.
