Sibiu is participating, starting today, at the Vienna Tourism Fair. In the four days of the fair, the municipality of Sibiu will present printed promotional materials, brochures and maps, and a representative of the City Hall of Sibiu will be present at the stand to provide information about tourist attractions and traditional events taking place in the city.
This year's Vienna Tourism Fair is attended by 800 exhibitors from over 80 countries, and last year the fair in the Austrian capital had over 150,000 visitors.
“Many tourists from Austria come to Sibiu, due to direct flights from and to Sibiu International Airport. Therefore, we consider that we can attract tourists from Austria, reason why we want to present our offer directly to those who are looking for holiday destinations at the Vienna Tourism Fair”, said Sibiu Mayor, Astrid Fodor, according to a press release from the Sibiu City Hall.
