PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu argues that it is time for the economic recovery program proposed by the Social Democrats to be implemented and that real dialogue is needed in the governing coalition, not unilaterally imposed decisions.
In an online post, he also writes that PSD assumes its share of responsibility by participating in the government, but specifies that the party has managed to stop the adoption of measures such as increasing VAT to 24%, eliminating the cap on basic products or stopping investments.
"If a government is not for the people, then it will not exist at all", concludes the PSD leader.
Technical recession "represents a warning signal and not a definitive verdict on the economy"
For his part, the president of the Association of Financial and Banking Analysts, Flavius Jakubowicz, claims that the technical recession registered by Romania, after two consecutive quarters of decline in Gross Domestic Product, represents a warning signal and not a definitive verdict on the economy.
He also says that this is a phase of economic correction, not a structural crisis, and the recovery this year will depend on budgetary discipline, fiscal stability and the state's capacity to support investments.
