The new wing of the integrated outpatient clinic at Oradea County Emergency Clinical Hospital will be put into use next week, announced the Minister of Health, who attended the inauguration on Sunday.
It is a €10 million project funded by the European Union, the state budget, and local authorities.
The new building brings together more than 20 medical specialties, and the top floor houses a state-of-the-art intensive care unit.
20 medical specialties and an ultra-modern ICU
The outpatient clinic will be open daily until 8:00 p.m., so that patients can have greater access to outpatient services in public hospitals, says Alexandru Rogobete.
He also spoke about the changes he has initiated in his field of activity and refuted some interpretations regarding the organization of competitions for hospital department heads.
Alexandru Rogobete assures that the rules remain those established by recent legislative changes.
Clarifications regarding competitions for department heads
Alexandru Rogobete: In university hospitals, a competition will be organized for the position of department head, and in clinical hospitals, a university professor may participate in the competition, regardless of title, meaning that, unlike what happens now, they will no longer be appointed by the university, and secondly, they will no longer be the highest-ranking person. For clinical hospitals, the competition for department head will be organized with performance indicators, and in university departments, only a university professor, regardless of rank, can participate, while in university departments or hospitals, a non-university doctor can also participate. Why an academic in a clinical hospital? Because there is educational activity, research activity, and the specifics of a clinical department are related to academia.
