The National Energy Regulatory Authority has issued a permit for the construction of one of Romania's largest wind farms in northern Ialomita, with a total capacity of over 246 MW, Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja announced on his Facebook page.
He specified that this is a project owned by the Portuguese company "Greenvolt" through "Tandarei Solar", which will benefit from the contract for difference scheme launched last year by the Ministry of Energy.
Thus, it has secured financing and a 15-year guarantee on the sale price of the electricity produced.
This means jobs in construction and operation, local taxes, revenue for the economy and, last but not least, clean and cheap energy produced in Romania, writes the energy minister.
