EU Support for the Regionalization Process in Romania
The European Union will support the regionalization process in Romania, through its specialized advisory body.

The European Union will support the regionalization process in Romania, through its specialized advisory body - this is one of the conclusions of the meeting in Brussels between the Romanian Development Minister, Liviu Dragnea, and the chairman of the Regions Commitee, Ramon Luis Valcárcel.
The EU official stressed the planned regionalization would help reduce the differences among the European regions and within the country.
Minister Dragnea insisted the Romanian authorities wanted to create a functional administrative system, able to reduce the gaps between towns and villages, between the wealthier and the poorer regions.
