Unexpected stopover for passengers of the Wizz Air flight Brasov - London.

The plane landed after about 53 minutes at Cluj-Napoca Airport because it hit birds during take-off, according to RADIO ROMANIA BRASOV FM.

The landing took place safely, being assisted by the ISU firefighters from Cluj-Napoca, and the passengers were disembarked and are now in the Cluj airport terminal, waiting for the decision of the technical team inspecting the aircraft.

They are to be boarded for the onward flight to London.

Full message from representatives of Brasov-Ghimbav Airport:
We would like to inform you that the Wizz Air plane operating today flight W9 5400 Brasov GHV - London LTN flight W9 5400 Brasov GHV - London LTN landed after approximately 53 minutes at Cluj Napoca Airport, after a bird strike during take-off. The landing took place safely and the passengers were disembarked and are currently in the Cluj airport terminal awaiting the decision of the technical team inspecting the aircraft. Passengers are expected to be boarded for the onward flight to London LTN.
