Constanta: Record seizure of over five million psychoactive tablets

Constanta police officers made a record seizure of more than five million psychoactive tablets, worth around three million euros.

Following 36 house searches, they also discovered 470 packets of undated cigarettes, as well as money in lei and other currencies.

In this case, the police interviewed 11 people and detained two of them for 24 hours on suspicion of several offences relating to trafficking in high-risk drugs.

Investigations in this case are being continued by the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Service, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Constanta Public Prosecutor's Office.
