Eight detained in a case regarding the illegal obtaining of car permits

Eight people were detained and 26 placed under judicial control, in a case regarding the illegal obtaining of car permits, after the investigators destructured a group of Romanian and foreign citizens.

61 searches were carried out in eight counties and in Bucharest, with 79 people being questioned. According to the investigators, from the middle of last year until now in Dambovita and Ilfov counties and the municipality of Bucharest, a criminal group was set up, which fraudulently obtained driving licenses for several Romanian citizens, their personal data being transmitted abroad for the preparation of the documents.

Those interested had to pay about 3.000 euros in exchange for this service. So far, more than 50 people who have obtained the right to drive a car using this method have been identified.
