Balance-sheet: new cases of infection with the new coronavirus

Authorities reported today 1.767 cases of coronavirus, resulting from more than 24.500 tests. It is the highest number of infections in 24 hours since the beginning of the pandemic, the balance thus exceeding 116.000 cases.
Most of the infections were registered in Bucharest - 301 cases, followed by Brasov - 97, and Iasi - 93.
47 deaths were also reported, the total number of those who died of covid-19 now standing at 4.550.
498 patients are currently hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.
