224 new cases of people infected with the new coronavirus

224 new cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been registered in Romania, thus reaching a total of 16.002, the Strategic Communication Group announced on Wednesday.
Out of the people confirmed positive, 7.961 have been declared cured and discharged.
228 patients are currently being hospitalized in intensive care.
So far, 1.016 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.
