RADOR RADIO ROMANIA (December 24) - A new case of children poisoned with a substance used to deworm animals. This time it is about three girls, aged 8, 12 and 13, who were urgently transported to Orastie Hospital last night, with nausea, vomiting and dizziness. The girls were later taken to the Emergency Reception Unit in Deva. According to doctors, the 8-year-old child is in the most serious condition. She was intubated and mechanically ventilated and transferred to the Timisoara Pediatric Hospital by a SMURD crew. The other two girls remained hospitalized at Deva. RRA correspondent Ilie Pintea also states that the police have started an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances in which this incident took place.
A few days ago, three children from Ialomita arrived at the hospital after being washed on their heads with tomoxan, a dewormer used for sheep. One of them died.
