Orban: Romania respects all conditions for joining Schengen

Romania complies with all the conditions for accession to the Schengen Area, same as for the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (MCV), Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said in Brussels today.

Access of Romanians to the free movement area depends on how determined the Bucharest authorities are to apply recommendations of the annual report.

Prime Minister is convinced that Romania will respect all standards and good practices at European level in the field of justice.

According to the Head of the Romanian Government, there is support for Romania’s accession to Schengen in the European Commission and the European Parliament, RRA Special Envoy Petruţa Obrejan says.
