1.111 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)

Following the tests performed at national level, 1.111 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously been confirmed positive.

Unlike the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 591 people were reconfirmed "positive".

Between 14.09.2020 (10:00) - 15.09.2020 (10:00) there were 51 deaths registered (28 men and 23 women). The patients were infected with the new coronavirus and were hospitalized in Alba, Bihor, Botosani , Brasov, Buzau, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Covasna, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Iasi, Maramures, Mehedinti, Mures, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Salaj, Satu Mare, Suceava, Timis, Valcea, Vaslui and Bucharest

Out of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30-39 years old, 1 in the category 40-49, 6 deaths were recorded in the age category 50-59, 15 deaths in the age category 60-69, 14 deaths in the age category 70-79 and 14 deaths in the age category over 80 years old.

49 of the registered deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities. One deceased patient did not present comorbidities, and for another, none have been reported so far.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 6.881.

460 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.
