The opposition is preparing two simple motions against the foreign and defense ministers, which will be submitted on the first day of the new parliamentary session in February.
Oana Toiu is being criticised for the way she represented Romania's interests in the decision-making process regarding the trade agreement between the European Union and the South American bloc Mercosur. The initiative, which belongs to senators from the Pace - Intai Romania (Peace - Romania First) group, is also supported by AUR, which says it is waiting for signatures from the PSD.
The second simple motion, which will also be submitted to the Senate, targets Radu Miruta for his statements on the management of national security and defense policy in the context of statements regarding the potential deployment of Romanian troops in Greenland, according to Radio Romania News reporter Amalia Bojescu.
