The protest of the Social Democratic Party against the arrest of the President of the County Council Argeş is commented in almost all editorials in today’s newspapers.

It is perfectly plausible that, in the financial-political jungle in Argeş, a local leader of the Liberal Democratic Party would have put an obstacle for his enemy in the Social Democratic Party - Florin Negruţiu argues in the Gândul.

In fact, it would be strange if it was different.

Nicolescu is no saint, and the local members of the Liberal Democratic Party aren’t either: their stakes, as well as their reckoning revolve around money and the local influence network.

It’s funny - the journalist continues – how the Social Democratic Party is trying to set justice free of the political pressure exerted by the Liberal Democratic Party, placing above its own pressure.

For what else is the street show that the Social Democratic Party has been playing for a few days now, than an explicit pressure against prosecutors and judges?!

The posture of ‘mere revolted citizens’ is hypocritical.

They must have an interest of their own to change the vicious system through which Justice always turns its head around like the sun flower after political power?

Let’s be honest, this is their last concern - Florin Negruţiu believes.

With all they’ve swallowed in the years of opposition, there will probably be a flow of transcripts with members of the Liberal Democratic Party once the Social Democrats will have the power again.

The subject is also reviewed by Laurenţiu Mihu in the România Liberă.
Stop arresting political opponents, the PSD leader, Victor Ponta, requests.

His requirement would have been valid if it had resonated in the era of Dej or Ceausescu, in Chile under Pinochet, in the current North Coreea, in the developing Tunisia or Egypt.

But if Romania of our days seems to Victor Ponta the same as the above mentioned eras, it would be appropriate for him to take responsibility of the disaster, as well - Laurenţiu Mihu believes.

The Social Democratic Party governed Romania between 1990-1996, 2000-2004 and 2008-2009, that is almost 12 years of the last 20.

We conclude with Silviu Sergiu who writes for the Evenimentul Zilei.

Adrian Năstase and Viorel Hrebenciuc are accusing the police state of Traian Băsescu, forgetting that it was preceded by the Adrian Năstase regime.

It was quieter then because the state-part was very strong.

We have more scandal now because the political forces are balanced.

Romania no longer has good or bad politicians, but only politicians who look for their own personal interest.

The political scene is just like a theatre stage, in a hall where, every five minutes, a group of disgusted spectators is leaving.

Silviu Sergiu concludes: I hope that eventually, when the hall remains empty, this cheap theatre, full of mountebanks will go bankrupt. Only then will we see a good play.
