The provisions of the Letter of Intent agreed between Romania and the International Monetary Fund (FMI), the possibility that the VAT copyright to be removed and the Education Minister’s reply to the accusation of plagiarism - are some of today's newspapers topics.

"High capacity to negotiate with the FMI" headlines and details Jurnalul Naţional: "The government has managed in two days to increase the budgetary salaries, to recover the Health Insurance House (CAS) for pensions and to stop the selling of resources".

The publication gives details about the points agreed by Romania in the letter of intent signed with the FMI, including privatization schedule recovery and liberalization in energy prices.

In contrast, among the issues still unresolved are for the moment listed CAS reducing, the differential VAT and the progressive taxation.
"The journalists and artists escape from VAT payment" - notes Adevărul on the announcement made by Prime Minister Victor Ponta, who said that the order through which the IRS taxes the incomes from royalties of more than 119,000 USD per year will be canceled.

According to the newspaper, the intention was discussed with Finance Minister Florin Georgescu and will also be established the budgetary impact of such measures.

Victor Ponta said that "the state does not lose much", in his opinion, the measure of VAT application of in this case being more for intimidating the free journalists.

"The Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) defends its mayors attacked by the Government on their wallet" - says Evenimentul Zilei.

The author of the article states that "PDL gathers the rows around the mayors threatened by the new prime minister, Victor Ponta, with a check on how were spent the amounts allocated by the Government Ungureanu from the Reserve Fund, but especially with the withdrawal of funding received last month" .

The Democratic-Liberals warned that the money did not arrive only at PDL municipalities, because Social-Democratic, National-Liberal and UNPR municipalities have benefited from that ordinance and believe that the approach violates the local governments’ rights, so that they will use legal means to stop what PDL calls an "abuse”.

Under the headline "The revenge of Boc? How Mang defends of plagiarism charges" România Liberă reveals the Education Minister’s reaction, Ioan Mang, after PDL leader Emil Boc said that he would have copied a scientific paper of computer science.

Ioan Mang believes that Emil Boc would revenge for having proposed that the former prime-minister to be dismissed from Education and denies the charges, arguing that "the theoretical part from the items submitted as evidence was cited in the bibliography attached to the work."

România Liberă also writes about who benefited from the fans wave who came to Bucharest for the Europe League final.

The daily considers that the latter had, in general, pleasant surprises - a festive atmosphere, cheap and quality beer and friendly locals, however, it adds the fact that the discordant note has made by some taxi drivers who have increased the prices.
