Virgil Popescu will be the interim Minister of Research

The Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu, will act as Minister of Research and Digitization.

Liberal Florin Roman resigned today from this position, after being accused of plagiarizing his thesis and after it was found out that he had a bachelor's degree at Babes Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca in his CV, although he did not take classes there.

Florin Roman considers that the USR leader, Dacian Ciolos, is the one who coordinated the attacks against him and says that he will sue him, but Dacian Ciolos claims that he is not impressed by this threat and emphasizes that Florin Roman is not a victim and his resignation is a necessary act "which many of his colleagues should follow."
