The Minister of National Defense, Nicolae Ciuca, and the Chief of the Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu, discussed, on Wednesday, during a videoconference held at the Ministry of Defense, with the command teams of the structures deployed in the theaters of operations in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in Poland, on the occasion of the Easter holidays.

The Romanian military presented the analysis of the security situation in the areas of responsibility, the stage of fulfilling the missions and reported that the health condition and the morale level of the personnel are very good, states the Ministry of National Defense, in a press release sent to the public.

Elements of the plan to withdraw the Romanian military from Afghanistan were also discussed.

Addressing them, the Minister of Defense said that entering and leaving a theater of operation are the most difficult moments.

"I ask for your continued cooperation and coordination so that your missions can be carried out safely, at the same time as extraction and return to the country. For us, the mission in Afghanistan will end when you are all safe at home." , stated Nicolae Ciuca.
