Unit 2 from Cernavoda reconnected to the national energy system

Unit 2 from Cernavoda was reconnected last night to the national energy system, Societatea Nuclearelectrica SA announced. Unit 2 was automatically disconnected on the evening of July 28 due to a malfunction in the energy system that affected the classic part of the plant.
The nuclear security functions of the unit were not affected, RRA correspondent Sorin Cealera said.
According to Nuclearelectrica, the automatic disconnection as well as the remediation works did not have an impact on the nuclear safety of the reactor, the personnel of the unit, the population and the environment.
