Unique phone number for children and families in need in Diaspora

A new unique number for the diaspora, which could be used by children and families in difficult situations, could be implemented in the near future.
The Minister of Family, Gabriela Firea, announced that, together with the Special Telecommunications Service representatives, she evaluated, after two months from its launch, the functioning of the unique number for children, 119, which received over 19.000 calls.
The main issues reported were abuse, neglect, exploitation and other forms of violence.
Gabriela Firea believes that a similar system should be implemented for children abroad, given that there are many cases reported throughout Europe after the situation in Denmark.
Currently, usable special phone numbers are: the unique emergency number 112, number 113 - to which people with hearing or speech disabilities can send SMS to the emergency services, and number 114 - to which mobile phone location data is automatically transmitted.
