Prime Minister Mihai Tudose had a meeting, at the Victoria Palace in Bucharest, with a delegation of the Ford Motor Company, headed by Vice President Andrew McCall. The Head of the Romanian Government spoke about the state of implementation of Ford's investment in Craiova, and about the creation of nearly 1,700 new jobs, as already announced by Ford.

According to the Prime Minister, the automotive industry is very important for the Romanian economy, both in terms of its contribution to the Gross Domestic Product as well as it social input by creating new jobs.

Romania is a favorable environment for investment growth, and the development of the Ford plant in Craiova confirms this, Mihai Tudose explained. In his view, more investment means more well-paid jobs.

The Head of the Romanian Executive and Ford Motor Company Vice-President also discussed about infrastructure. In this context, Prime Minister Tudose mentioned that the Pitești-Sibiu motorway and the connection between Pitești and Craiova are priorities of the Government, and will be finalized by the end of the mandate.
