Trains will travel at low speeds in hot areas

The speed of passenger and freight trains will be reduced by 20-30 km per hour, until the end of the week, so that railway transport will run safely in the areas where the temperature will reach 39 degrees, announced CFR Infrastructure.
The measure will be imposed only when, at track level, the temperature will exceed 50 degrees and there is a risk of expansion.
The National Road Infrastructure Management Company also warns that traffic restrictions are possible due to the heat wave. They will be adopted to protect and preserve road sections with bituminous pavement and to prevent deformations that may occur on the road network, as a result of heavy traffic.
