Traian Băsescu met with Barack Obama

A Romanian delegation headed by President Traian Băsescu is in the US for a short work visit. President Băsescu was received by the President of the US, Barack Obama, at the White House.

In Washington, President Traian Băsescu was received by President Barack Obama for a brief discussion at the White House.

The official program listed by the Romanian Presidential Administration did not provide an official meeting of the two Presidents.

The official program listed on the website of the White House the meeting of Barack Obama with President Traian Băsescu in the Roosevelt Hall at 10.15 a.m.

Next is signing the agreement on hosting the land components of the American antimissile shield on the territory of Romania.

The document will be signed by the Minister of Exterior, Teodor Baconschi and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

A Romanian delegation headed by President Traian Băsescu is now in the US for a brief work visit.

According to the official program provided by the Romanian Presidential Administration, President Băsescu had several scheduled meetings with Vice President Joe Biden, with Secretary of Defence Leon Panetta and CIA director David Petraeus.
