Traffic is again under normal conditions on Transfagarasan

Traffic on Transfagarasan was resumed under normal conditions on Friday, July 7, in the area where stones fell on the road a day ago, announced the prefect of Arges County, Radu Perianu, quoted by Agerpres.

"The road has been cleared and it is possible to travel on both lanes, at this moment. I ask all those who are going to arrive in the area, this weekend, to drive with reduced speed and increased attention. The north of Arges county will be, from 2 p.m., under a new code orange warning of bad weather", said the prefect.

Traffic had previously been resumed, during the morning, on a single line, alternatively, and the actions of cleaning the roadway were continued.

The prefect of Arges county announced, on Thursday evening, the temporary closure of traffic.

Approximately 100 vehicles were blocked on Thursday, following falling stones.

There was also a slightly injured person. It is about a woman of Polish citizenship, who received care from the SMURD crew and chose to continue her journey without going to the hospital, informed the prefect.
