The Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos, says that the new fiscal measures prepared by the Executive are trying to keep the budget deficit under control. He stated that it is possible for the Government to adjust these measures, if Romania does not enter an area of sustainability and stability of this economic indicator.
Marcel Bolos: According to the last assessments we made, of budgetary impact, we have 16.7 billion lei on the revenue side, without taking into account the excise tax updates that come into force on January 1, 2024 and which are not contained in the draft law that I posted. If we also take into account the expenditure reduction part, if we also take into account the tax evasion part, it is 22 billion lei.
Marcel Bolos participated, today, together with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, in the meetings with UDMR and national minority parliamentarians on the topic of new fiscal measures.
