The stake of the accession to the OECD is the completion of a significant modernization process of Romania, already consolidated through the integration into the EU, but also through the accession to NATO, said Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca, quoted by Agerpres.
He participated on Thursday, December 15, at the Conference of the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA), "Tackling Growing Disruption".
"In the afternoon, I will have the first meeting at the OECD since Romania received the invitation to start the process of joining the organization. For us, the stake of joining the OECD is the completion of a significant process of modernization of Romania, already consolidated through EU integration, but also by joining NATO. The reforms that Romania has undertaken in the last 30 years have strengthened our economic and social resilience. This resilience helps us to manage the impact of the successive crises that not only our continent but the whole world has faced and which we still have to face", said Nicolae Ciuca.
