The Romanian Intelligence Service will be temporarily led by the first deputy director, general Razvan Ionescu, after Eduard Hellvig resigned from his position.
President Klaus Iohannis appreciates that under Hellvig's leadership, the Service has been consistently modernized, which is why he decided to decorate him with the National Order "Star of Romania".
From the opposition, the USR accuses him of continuing to do politics from this position, and the Alliance for the Union of Romanians talks about the possibility of Eduard Hellvig running for president next year.
