The Senate plenary approved the National Anti-corruption Division prosecutors' request to start the criminal investigation in the case of the former prime minister, PNL senator Florin Citu, with 90 votes for and 2 against.
Florin Citu is accused of complicity in the abuse of office in the case of anti-COVID-19 vaccines, along with the former USR ministers of health, Vlad Voiculescu and Ioana Mihaila, who can be prosecuted, after the president Klaus Iohannis approved the NAD requests.
