The Senate adopted the measures initiated by the government to regulate gambling

The Senate adopted, with a majority of votes, the measures initiated by the Government to regulate the field of gambling, among which the imposition of higher fees for the organization and exploitation licenses, as well as the increase of the guarantees submitted by the companies in this field, the establishment of a register of companies and premises or the prohibition of alcoholic beverages in these premises.

The opposition criticized the form in which the document was adopted, which it claimed did not discourage these activities and ignored the victims of gambling addiction.

The decisive vote will be that of the Chamber of Deputies.
