The Romanian Minister of Defense, Angel Tilvar, meets with his French counterpart, Sebastien Lecornu

The Romanian Minister of Defense, Angel Tilvar, is meeting, today, in Paris, with his French counterpart, Sebastien Lecornu, with whom he will discuss joint political-military projects.
The talks between the two officials take place after the conference of ministers from the European Union on strengthening air defense, where President Emmanuel Macron proposed the development of the European industry in order to reduce the dependence on the import of defense technology from outside Europe.
"I had the opportunity to say that Romania remains one of the pillars of stability and generators of security in the Black Sea region. I had the opportunity to promote the idea that the Black Sea should have greater importance in terms of the strategic concept. At the same time, we pronounced in terms of joint endowment initiatives, we have pronounced for a constant collaboration with the transatlantic partners, with the United States. And, we agree and support the possibility that on certain programs joint European purchases can be made", stated Angel Tilvar.
