The number of COVID-19 infections has dropped below 2.000

The number of coronavirus cases has dropped below 2.000 today, for the first time in nine weeks.
1.936 infections were reported, after almost 23.000 tests were performed.
Most cases of COVID were registered in Bucharest - 258. There were also 121 deaths announced, and 16 before the reference interval.
1.573 patients are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.
Currently, 34 Intensive Care beds for COVID patients are available in hospitals across the country; nine beds are free in Bucharest, and the rest are spread across in eight counties.
