The Ministry of National Defense informs that the metal fragments discovered on Wednesday near the town of Nufaru in Tulcea county come from a drone similar to those used by the Russian army. The expertise process continues to establish the circumstances in which they arrived on Romanian territory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly requests the cessation of repeated attacks against the Ukrainian population and civilian infrastructure and the irresponsible escalation by Russia of the security situation, including at the border between Romania and Ukraine. The MFA announces that it will urgently summon the head of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in Bucharest.
