The Ministry of Foreign Affairs firmly reiterates: The annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, a flagrant violation of the principles of international law

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its firm position of condemnation and non-recognition of the illegal annexation by the Russian Federation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Nine years after this illegal annexation, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the use by the Russian armed forces of the territory of the Crimean Peninsula, in the context of the war of aggression launched against Ukraine.
It also reaffirms support for the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
Romania recalls that it does not recognize the illegal annexation by the Russian Federation of the regions of eastern Ukraine Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhia.
