The Ministry of Culture is waiting, until August 21, for funding proposals for written culture, the amount allocated being 500.000 lei.
Applicants can send funding requests based on projects that have public readings as their starting point, so that their beneficiaries are both writers and readers, the maximum amount requested being 50.000 lei.
The Editors' Association draws attention to the fact that the expected VAT increase in the case of books, currently 5%, would decrease sales, given that Romania is in last place in Europe for the consumption of written culture.
