The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminita Odobescu, had a telephone conversation with her Israeli counterpart, Eli Cohen, on Friday, November 3, the priority of the discussion being the situation of Romanian citizens and family members who requested support for the evacuation from the Gaza Strip.
Luminita Odobescu reminded that the Romanian Ministry, through the two mobile consular teams and the staff of the Romanian Embassy in Cairo and the Romanian Representative Office in Ramallah, are prepared to ensure consular support for the safe evacuation of Romanian citizens and family members who requested this.
The Israeli official assured that the evacuation of Romanian citizens from the Gaza Strip is a particular concern for the Tel Aviv authorities.
