The government would decide next week in the last meeting of this year whether to extend the price compensation for gasoline and diesel by 50 bani beyond January 1.

In the last few days, gasoline has become cheaper again and there are many stations where the price has dropped below 6 lei for a liter, if the 50 bani aid granted by the authorities and fuel companies is included.

Also, the price of diesel fell to 7.20 lei. The reductions come after this month the quotations for the barrel of oil went down on the European Union international market.
