The first hospital for children with cancer, serious diseases and traumas, built from donations and sponsorships, was inaugurated last night in the yard of the "Marie Curie" Hospital in the Capital.
The "Give Life" organization, which carried out the project, said that it will continue with a second building, to create a medical campus equipped with research and training spaces, as well as accommodation for parents.
The founders of the organization stated that the wards from the current "Marie Curie" Hospital will be relocated, and the treatment of patients will begin in the first months of next year.
Originally conceived as a three-story clinic, the project turned into a hospital with an area of 12.000 m², 9 levels and 140 beds.
