The first dose of monkeypox vaccine was administered

The first dose of vaccine against monkeypox was administered after contact with a patient diagnosed with this disease, the Ministry of Health informed on Monday.
So far, 40 people have been diagnosed with monkeypox in Romania.
The National Committee for Emergency Situations, in a hybrid format, adopted, on Thursday, the decision regarding the transmission of the request for international assistance, through the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union, to access the doses of medicine necessary to treat a number of approximately 150 patients infected with monkeypox virus.
